Reviewing two blogs. ENG102 25650

In my review of two blogs today, I encountered one that I found particularly engaging and another that did not stand out as much. I assessed the blogs based on their organization and formatting, the author's purpose, and the use of visual aids.

The blog  HOW THESE VETERANS ARE PROVING HIP-HOP HAS NO AGE LIMIT explores the ageless nature of hip-hop, not only through the author's perspective and supporting facts but also by incorporating viewpoints from various artists. I appreciate how well-organized the blog is, both structurally and in terms of formatting creating a professional yet approachable tone enhanced by relevant images and quotes. These elements contribute to a compelling and engaging read. The author engages readers by featuring artists who support the central theme. One artist that is quoted and referred to throughout the blog is “AndrĂ© 3000” talking about how the artist felt too old to be a part of the music game still.

However, a significant drawback was the intrusive pop-up ads on the website, which disrupted the reading flow and detracted from the overall experience. Despite this annoyance, the blog effectively introduces its topic and maintains a structured approach, coherently exploring hip-hop's timeless appeal.

The blog ‘Email and Calendar Data Are Helping Firms Understand How Employees Work’ aims to address how the technology for 'change management' remains underdeveloped and not extensively researched, while some firms are still seeing positive results. I found this blog less preferable due to its lack of substantial evidence and support for its main argument. The authors provided only a summary and a single paragraph to explain their point, utilizing just one visual aid and source.

Although the authors provided few sources, they established their purpose for writing the blog.

After reviewing the blogs, I found that the first one was engaging, with excellent organization and formatting, a clear authorial purpose, and effective use of visual aids. In contrast, the second blog did not meet these standards.
